About

Under lockdown, Barry wrote songs. But these songs were not like anything he had written before. Fueled by anger against the government, they were underpinned by dissonant chords carrying catchy melodies, a combination of tonal and post tonal techniques. They were punk rock, but more in the vein of Black Midi than the Ramones. He brought in drummer Conor Andrews and bassist Julie Ulie, who brought these songs to life in new and unexpected ways. Lyrically, the songs range from virulent protest songs to optimistic songs of hope and resilience. Characters ranging from the corrupted super rich to the lonely and abandoned populate the lyrics, in the hopes to tell stories that connect with anyone who cares to listen.
